Enjoying an RV Park in Florida

Through past years of countless hours of dedicated hard work, retirees achieve their dream of the open road in an RV. One relaxation destination is the “sunshine state”, a state of unlimited recreational activities and leisurely opportunities. From sight-seeing to golfing, Florida will fulfill your entire recreational activity cravings, especially in the winter. It’s the migration destination for the typical RV snowbird. RVers flock to Florida to get away from the frigid snowy months to rejuvenate their senses. There are no alarm clocks going off at five in the morning and no one is rushing to beat the morning traffic to get to the office. We are retired and don’t have to be anywhere.

RVers will take advantage of the morning sun with a stroll thru the RV park enjoying a kinder side of Mother Nature while friends and family battle old man winter up north. After your morning walk with ample greetings from fellows RVers, the morning routine continues with a session on their personal computer, this will include going online to pay a bill or two, searching local attractions, or even sending emails out to loved ones back home.

After lunch RVers might hit road to visit various local attractions, such as, state parks, historic sites, beaches and amusements parks. Upon returning to the park campers might participate in the numerous recreational opportunities, such as, horseshoes, bocce and shuffleboard. Social encounters such as social hour and potluck suppers allow campers to enjoy the company of others that share a similar dream of independence.

Taking the time during the afternoon to fulfill curious attraction opportunities, there’s plenty to do for adults, grandchildren and for people any age in between.  Stopping by and getting last minute supplies at the local Wal-Mart, you know the long lines at Wal-Mart don’t hold a candle to a life that has knows no time restraints.

Riding the bicycle to get the mail at the park’s main office doesn’t have to be the only exercise in an RV park. RV parks provide numerous recreational opportunities thru group activities and social encounters, such as social hour and potluck suppers. RVing and socializing goes hand in hand. People mingle and get together for a friendly game of horseshoe, bocce, or shuffleboard. Maxing out your social skills in the first week at an RV park is easy to do, enjoying the company of others that share a similar dream of independence.

Just before the sun sets, RVers meet in the recreational hall for the cribbage tournament or walk over to another RV site to visit with some new friends. Exchanging stories of the open road with others is relaxing before turning in for the night wondering what will tomorrow bring and will they ever run into their new friends again down the road.

That is my dream to RV across the US. Not sure if we will ever be able to retire, but if and when, I am excited for it. Congrats on the nomination.
